We build an AI product, so we are not going to be shy about using AI ourselves. What we will not do is let you find out by accident.
This page says plainly which parts of our marketing are made by artificial intelligence, which parts are real, and where the line is. If you ever find something on our site or in our ads that is AI-generated and not covered here, tell us and we will fix it.
The construction workers you see across our website, our ads and our social media — including the two men who appear again and again — are generated with artificial intelligence. They are illustrated brand characters.
They are not employees. They are not contractors. They are not customers. They are not users of BuildPilot. They are not photographs of anybody, and no living person's likeness has been licensed, copied or intended.
We use recurring characters for the same reason any company uses a consistent face in its advertising: so the brand is recognisable. We are telling you they are drawn rather than photographed.
No AI-generated person on our site or in our ads will ever tell you BuildPilot saved them time, made them money, or won them a job. They do not review the product. They do not endorse it. They hold no opinion.
Every factual claim we make — about price, about features, about what competitors charge — stands on its own evidence and is never put in the mouth of a person we invented.
When we publish a real customer's testimonial, it will come from a real, named customer who gave written permission, and we will say clearly that it is real.
Every screenshot of the product is the real product.
Every number about what BuildPilot does is measured from the real software.
Our founder, Pedro Loredo, is a real general contractor in Dallas–Fort Worth who runs his own business on BuildPilot. When he appears, it is genuinely him.
Any competitor pricing we quote is taken from that competitor's own published page, and we state the date we read it.
Images generated with AI carry a visible "AI-generated image" label where they appear on our website and in advertising we control.
Some advertising platforms, including Meta, also detect AI-generated media and add their own label. We do not control that and we do not object to it.
If you are viewing an advertisement and cannot see a label, that is a mistake on our part rather than a decision. Please tell us.
BuildPilot uses AI to draft estimates, suggest line items, coach a walk-through, translate between English and Spanish, and turn speech into records.
That output is a drafting aid. It is frequently wrong and it can be confidently wrong. You are responsible for checking every number before you send it to a customer. This is set out in full in Section 5 of the Software Use Agreement.
Your customer data is yours. We do not sell it, and we do not use your jobs, photos, prices or client records to train public AI models.
Contractors are, in our experience, deeply sceptical of software marketing — and they are usually right to be. The most common complaint we found about our largest competitor was not about their product at all. It was that their marketing is better than their software.
We would rather be the company that said so first.
